On Saturday, Tasmania votes in its state election. Due to its electoral system, the most likely result is simply a Labor-Green government, with the Greens either in official coalition, or, offering some level of support to the government.
Sunday is the big one, the Italian election. Polls are not allowed in the final two weeks but past precedent has shown that the party trending as the polls close does better as a trendline, and as such, there is a good chance Berlusconi can win a majority in both chambers, but it may be a narrow one, and, may be a minority once all the ballots are counted.
