I can't see OR and WA being true swing states. With the decline in the timber industry and increasing automation and outsourcing (both internationally and to less-union frendily states) in the aircraft and shipping industries, there are increasingly few blue collar whites left. The current and near future populations of these states are much more comfortable with the "new left" than "old left".
